Dying a dogs white hairs?

i want to get a black toy poodle or yorkie poo and i know that once they start to get old, some of their fur willturn white, is there a way that the fur can be safely dyed black. will it hurt the dog?, because safety comes first. kep in mind that i WONT be doing it by myself i will take it to the groomers. lol i know how some of u can CRITICIZE. so im tryna keep it on the safe side lol :)

There is NO SAFE WAY, everyone who says otherwise doesn't know any better. Every dog reacts differently and it can be fatal. Be smart and don't do it!

If I ever met a groomer that would dye a dog I'd run like hell in the other direction. It's just asinine.

Are you serious!? It's a DOG! Why in the WORLD would you dye a dog's fur? That shallow, huh?

Why in the world would you want to dye your dog's fur??

Dogs get older....it's part of life. Grow up please!

You may be able to find a groomer who'll do so if you call around and ask those in your area - some will do anything, regardless of questionable safety. Though be prepared for most of those you call to laugh in your face. There's no need to cosmetically alter a dog, particularly an older dog, unless it's of ultimate importance in the show ring. Why risk your dogs' health for aesthetic purposes?

are you retarted lol dont do that do a dog

Dying a dogs white hairs?

Why would you want to do that?

worry about your own hair when it turns white, not the dogs. if you were really concerned about the well being of your dog you wouldn't even care about it's white hairs when it gets old. besides, when the dogs that old you will have grown up and have a more mature attitude, you won't care about it's white hair either, you'll love the dog for being a great companion to you.

This doesn't even deserve an answer, but here it is anyway. What in the world are you thinking? Is your head on straight? Who in their right mind would even contemplate dyeing a dogs hair? Get a life, child. Spend more time on SPELLING class or at least learn to use spell-check.

they have chalk that a lot of show dog owners use...black, white, reds....if it's that important to you....i would not color it and i am a groomer!

First ask your vetrinarian! They may react like these people, but they're probably more professional than that. They can at least talk to you about what is and is not safe for a dog.

IF you decide to do that, be VERY careful about the dye - as it has been said, your groomer is not necessarily reputable, but you can do some background checking. Also discuss the type of dye with the groomer -- do they sound fully informed and concerned about the dog's health?

Almost all dyes would be dangerous to an animal, especially since they lick and chew their fur. Look for dyes that are non-toxic, and deposit only, with no bleach whatsoever. These will not be mainstream brands. The only thing I would even vaguely trust would be a henna-indigo dye because it is non-toxic and natural, but do some research to make sure it's not one of the plants that is bad for animals!

You don't, If you can't accept that dog knowing that when it gets older it's hair color will change than you shouldn't get a dog.

I heard Manic Panic won't hurt animals but i'm not entirely certain.
