the gray hair looks like smoke and it is so drab

needs to be different but am afraid to start to dye it because if i decide to let it grow out it will look weird also would suggestions for a hair style for an older person

Gray and white are two different colors. If you want to make your gray a bit more silver I would use a shampoo that is for gray hair which is usually violet or blue in color to remove yellow from the gray. All over white is a different story. If you want white hair NOT GRAY. You would have to bleach the hair to a pale yellow then put a violet toner on to cancel the yellow. If I were you I would seek professional help.

Before changing styles, try using Shimmering Lights Shampoo,it may help to pull out some of the drab, it will add shine to your hair especially the gray. Afterwards you may still want to try a new style, but with lightening the gray and adding shine may also influence the style you choose.
