im wondering.. is it possible to acheive this look by washing your hair and applying mouse then letting it air dry? have you ever done this? or does it only work for white hair?

If your hair is relaxed, you can get this look by putting your hair in large rollers and sitting under the drier or letting it air-dry. Then you take the rollers out, take a handful of mousse, and finger-comb it through your hair until the curls are loosened enough. Then arrange the hair where you want it to stay, spray it down with some trusty Aquanet, and voila.

Washing your hair and letting it air-dry, as you mentioned, will probably end up too frizzy. Unless you have very silky hair, you need the rollers to make the curls more neat and defined like in the picture.

Nah, the messy kind of look would work on all kinds of hair. Use some strong hold mousse and twist it into messy corkscrew curls when it's semi dry. If it comes out too structured when it dries, just pull a few loose bits out and have them whispy.

no, i dont think so... u need to use some big rollers or curling irons to achieve this look.
