What do you do when you have bleached your hair at home and its gone white?

I need to know if its safe to put another product over it and what is the best one? Will it fade if I leave it for a while.? I know I will get the usual comment about wearing a hat but its not very helpful.

Right, I've bleached my hair so I know exactly what you mean and how to sort it.

First of all buy a toner. You can simply go to Boots and buy BBLonde toner which I have used before. It doesn't have nasty chemicals in it as its "semi permanent", conditions your hair great and lastly evens the colour out to make it an even blonde. It lasts a good 2 weeks and after that you can use a normal hair dye (NOT BLEACH) such as Nice 'n' Easy #98 to get a nice blonde. If you want to change it to a total different colour e.g. brown I would suggest leaving it blonde dyed for a month or two and simply use a normal home dye (I have also gone from bleached to blonde to brown, I am currently just light blonde tho atm).

I'd really recommend the toner though. They even up the colour but also evens out orange and canary yellow tones you can also get with dying.

What are you looking to achieve as far as color. Now that you are white, you have to be extremely careful about what you put on next. Depending on the base color of the formula that you have....then your hair will grab that color and you will either be green, purple, blue, etc. You must have pretty light colored hair to begin with is store bought bleach lightened it that much. I would suggest going to a salon, because they can add the correct base color so that your hair will not be the colors that I listed above, or even ORANGE. All you need to tell your stylist is that you bleached it to white, and you need to add depth to it and this can be achieved by adding low lights, or but doing all over color, and then using kaledi colors for use as a highlight...this will just brighten it to a lighter tone, and only uses 20 vol. But what ever is done will have to be determined by consultation and the condition your hair is in now. Bleaching is VERY harsh on the hair, and doing too much will damage it further. Do not bleach again until every bit of this bleaching has grown out because your hair WILL melt off your head. and the length of time for the regrowth depends on how fast your hair grows now, and the length of it now.

Go to a professional salon - not Super Cuts or anything like that - and have them look at your hair. The thing with bleach is that it ruins the folicles to the point that your hair won't take color and it will turn orange.

Pay the money for them to something with it for you. You don't want your hair to be any more ruined than it is.

I know how you feel! I did the same thing last month. I called (I didnt want to go out into public!) the local beauty supply (Sally's or Northwest Beauty Supply) where I purchased the bleach and they said to put a toner on it with like 20-30 volume developer. I went down and talked to a girl there that helped me pick out a nice ashy toner to put on it and it took out any orange and made the white and yellow less harsh looking. It's still light, but it's a nice looking light blonde now. This cost about $8 for the toner and developer and gloves.

Now, that being said if you don't mind spending some money, going to a professional would be good as well, but for corrective treatments they charge a TON. And, if you are like me...we do our own hair at home because it is so much less expensive! Good Luck!

well when you bleech it it will go white then just put die over the top of you white hair it should look good and will not fade
