Vitamin B group especially can help restore colour to hair, particularly B6, folic acid %26amp; PABA. I'm not sure if it's just your hair colour but if it's a deficiency, you can always investigate increasing vitamin in your diet.

grey hair is inherited, as your "premature" grey, my uncle was getting his hair colored at 16, my sister had a streak of grey in her senior (high school photos), my dad at 23 had a grey spot in the middle of the front of his head(opposite Jay Leno) the rest of his hair was black, I felt lucky I did not have to start hiding my grey til my late 20s!!!!!!!! stress doesn't help either for sure.

So much really good and fascinating information here there's not much I can add but when I was in hairdressing school back in the dinosaur days, we were told that as we age and our hair dries out.the molecules of the hair shaft compress so in effect the hair loses air spaces, and it needs them to hold melanin. That's why gray hair is usually more coarse and wiry. Nowadays I know there is a theory of vitamins playing a part in graying which makes perfect sense. BTW I started getting gray in high school and it ~is~ hereditary in my family. You could have a condition called vitiligo (hereditary I believe) which is way out of my realm of expertise but I'm sure you can find info on the internet. Good luck!
