The chemicals in ANY dye is toxic. As you know, most dogs will lick and groom themselves, and ingest the chemicals. Some of them can make them sick, or even kill them. Also, the dye takes a long time to come out, especially if their hair is white.

At this time of year, there are usually spray-on "dyes" you can use. That way, it won't take forever for the dye to wear off. However, anything your pup sits on/rubs up against, will likely get purple on it! :/

Easter egg dye-or food coloring. It's vegetable based and won't hurt the dog if he licks it. Kool-Aid has several cancer causing ingredients in it, so unless you have medical insurance on your pet, it's not a good choice.

DO NOT use the spray on stuff others were recommending- it is harmful for your doggy. Food coloring will stain. Use vegetable dye, it is chemical free and safe for your dog.
